Anti smog gun installed at Bhalaswa landfill site to curb air pollution

The mayor of north Delhi, Jai Prakash, informed that some more locations will be identified at Bhalswa landfill site to install such anti-smog guns.

New Delhi : The mayor of north Delhi, Jai Prakash, here on Wednesday inaugurated an  anti smog gun to curb air pollution at Bhalaswa landfill site.

Speaking on the occasion the north Delhi mayor said that the installation of anti-smog guns at Bhalswa landfill site will help in curb the air pollution. He said that this anti-smog gun has been installed near the trommel machines so that some dust particles which get into the air during segregation of garbage and its disposal can be suppressed.

He informed that some more locations will be identified at Bhalswa landfill site to install more  such anti-smog guns.

The  mayor said that the North Delhi Municipal Corporation is making all efforts to prevent air pollution and citizens do not face any kind of inconvenience . He said that North DMC is engaged in the implementation of its schemes even in adverse financial conditions so that the citizens of Delhi can be provided with better facilities.

He said that North DMC has deputed 134 tankers to sprinkle water to suppress dust on roads or in open. Each tanker covers almost 10 km of area. He said besides 18 mechanical road sweeper are deployed to sweep major roads to check air pollution.

Among others chairman of the standing committee, the North DMC,  Chhail Bihari Goswami, Leader of house Yogesh Verma, director-in- chief Naurang Singh and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
