Awakening training program organised by Ramakrishna Mission Delhi & Gurugram for primary school teachers of 237 kendriya vidyalaya .

This program is supported by Education Minister Sri Dharmendra Pradhan to encourage decision making capacity of students.

The program is inaugurated by Swami Shantatmanand, Secretary,Ramakrishna Mission,Delhi Gurugram at Vivekananda Auditorium.

Swami ji stressed on the development of “ATMASHRADDHA” among students so that they can become an independent decision makers in their lives.  Swami Shantatmanand, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi & Gurugram spoke on importance of “Atmashraddha” and how children will learn to live a value based life if they develop self belief and Atmashraddha.

Swami ji said, “Awakening program is in response to teachers demanding that RamakrishnaMission should start something to help children develop their discipline as they were getting stressed and unruly,”

Sri Nagendra Goyal , Deputy Commissioner , Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Chief guest of the program stressed on importance of Value Education in society.

Mr Goyal reminded Swami Vivekananda’s words that teachers are like gardeners and can carefully nurture the seed given to them with the right sunlight, moisture and care.

237 primary school teachers from various Kendriya Vidyalaya attended this workshop.  The primary teachers divided into small groups of teachers to be facilitated by trainer of Awakening of Ramakrishna Mission. Teachers were encouraged to think under different circumstances like if a student is harassed by his / her colleagues what a teacher should do that point of time under the behaviour of “SHARING & CARING”.
