COVID-19 pandemic: North DMC-run Hindu Rao Hospital to get 300 more beds
The Hindu Rao Hospital hospital currently has the facility of 200 beds for corona virus patients. In addition to this, 300 beds will be further developed. The casualty ward has been converted into Covid-19 ward and a flu clinic has been started in the hospital keeping in view the situation.
New Delhi: The North Delhi Municipal Corporation is going to add 300 more beds to the existing capacity of the Hindu Rao Hospital which is that of 200 beds for the Coronavirus patients.
Chairman of the standing committee of North DMC Jai Prakash visited to the hospital on Tuesday to inspect preparedness. During the inspection, the officials concerned informed the standing committee chairman, Prakash, that hospital currently has the facility of 200 beds for corona virus patients.In addition to this, 300 beds will be further developed.
The casualty ward has been converted into Covid-19 ward and a flu clinic has been started in the hospital keeping in view the situation. Further, the officials concerned said that facility has been made for doctors and nurses to stay in the hospital premises.
Prakash inspected Hindu Rao Hospital to check preparedness for prevention of coronavirus and wards prepared for patients. During the inspection medical superintendent, Dr. Anu Kapoor ,and other officials concerned were also present.
He inspected the Covid-19 sampling centre and corona wards and other facilities available in the hospital. Prakash said that the Hindu Rao Hospital has been declared as Covid dedicated Hospital by the Delhi government, in view of which the North Delhi Municipal Corporation has completed all preparations.He said that the North Delhi Municipal Corporation is ready to provide all possible help to the Delhi government. He said that we all have to fight against Corona only then we can defeat it.
