New Delhi: Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta, mayor of North Delhi Jai Prakash, mayor of South Delhi Anamika Mithlesh and mayor of East Delhi Nirmal Jain on Tuesday held daylong ‘satyagraha’ outside the office of AAP demanding release of Rs. 13000 crore of municipal corporation.
During the ‘satyagraha’ leader of opposition in Delhi legislative assembly Ramveer Singh Bidhuri and 181 BJP councillors of all the three municipal corporations were present.
Mayor of North Delhi Prakash said that Delhi government is wilfully not releasing the dues of Rs. 13000 crores to make corporations financially cripple so that they can neither do any developmental work for the citizens nor can pay salaries to their employees on time.
Prakash said that this is our constitutional right and we will take it. He said that we will continue with this fight till the Delhi government releases the due funds of the corporation.
He said that the Aam Aadmi Party is playing politics by not releasing the due funds of the corporations so that they can take advantage of it in the upcoming corporation elections.
