Delhi police Sub-inspector dies from Covid19: Death toll reaches five

SI Karambeer was posted as driver on duty with ACP Seelampur in North East Delhi. He was on ventilator support for the last five days and lost his life fighting with ailments related to Covid-19 on Tuesday morning. He was also a diabetic patient, said senior Delhi police official.

A-59-year-old sub-inspector of Delhi police died from Covid19 on Tuesday morning, reaching the death toll  five in Delhi police as two constables and two ASIs of Delhi police have been died from Coronavirus infection earlier.
Deceased SI Karambeer was posted as driver on duty with ACP Seelampur in North East Delhi. He was on ventilator support for the last five days and lost his life fighting with ailments related to Covid-19 on Tuesday morning. He was also a diabetic patient, said senior Delhi police official.
He was admitted with symptoms of corona on June 2 at Army Base Hospital and tested as Covid19 positive on the same day, the official added.
SI Karambeer survived by his 55 year old wife Jaipali Devi, 26 year- old son Pawan who is working with Indian Railways in Mumbai and five daughters in which four are married.
‘Meanwhile” his 23-year-old daughter living with family has also fever for last two days.
Karmaveer was originally from Fatehpur Khurja village in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. He lived with the family in Yamuna Vihar, Brijpuri, Gokulpuri.
As of now around five hundreds police personnel of Delhi Police have been tested Coronavirus positive. Out of them, more than two hundred have been cured.
Earlier Constant Rahul posted at DCP office in North East Delhi and Constable Amit Rana posted at Bharat Nagar police station were died from Covid19. Subsequently, two ASI Shishmani Pandey and Vikram of Delhi Police were killed from Coronavirus infection.
