EDMC flags off hydraulic tree pruner machine

The tree pruner machine can be raised up to nine meters high and can be rotated around which makes it capable of pruning very tall trees. This machine is CNG based which is a good option from the point of view of environmental protection.

New Delhi:  Mayor of East Delhi Shyam Sundar Agarwal  flagged off two  hydraulic tree pruner machine purchased from Urban Development Fund here on Friday.

Agarwal  on the occasion said that the East Delhi Municipal Corporation purchased these machines at a cost of Rs 27 lakh .

He said that earlier the corporation did not have any arrangement for pruning of tall trees due to which there was a fear of falling of trees during the stormy season.

The mayor said that the EDMC  has taken initiative and purchased these machines for the purpose of pruning the trees so that this work can be done in a smooth and easy manner. He said that such machines are not available with other corporations of Delhi.

Chairman of the standing committee, the EDMC, Bir Singh Panwar while describing the specialty of hydraulic tree pruner machine said that the body of this machine is small, so it can easily prune trees by going on small streets and narrow paths.

He said that this machine can be raised up to 9 meters high and can be rotated around which makes this machine capable of pruning very tall trees. He said that these machines are CNG based which is a good option from the point of view of environmental protection.
