EDMC intensifies drive to check air pollution

Water sprinkler machines have been deployed at Anand Vihar and Vivek Vihar  so that the dust particles present in the air can be settled on the surface.

New Delhi:  The EDMC has intensified drive to check air pollution identifiying the the places which report maximum air pollution.

Water sprinkler machines have been deployed by the EDMC at Anand Vihar and Vivek Vihar  so that the dust particles present in the air can be settled on the surface, said the EDMC in a statetment iissued here on Monday.

Apart from this, as many as 64 teams have been constituted by the EDMC  which will visit the areas and keep an eye on the factors that increase air pollution.

These 64 teams will conduct  surprise inspection 24 hours on all seven days .  Punitive action would be taken against those who are found throwing wastes, burning garbage and putting debris  in the open, asserted the EDMC release.

For the prevention of air pollution, continuous sprinkling of water is being done by the East Delhi Municipal Corporation in 64 wards through 40 sprinkler machines so that dust pollution can be reduced.

More so, sprinkling  of water is also being done in streets, parks  and on the garbage grounds so that air pollution can be controlled to some extent.
