Liger starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey had a pan-India release on August 25. Liger marked Vijay Deverakonda’s Bollywood debut, which was released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

This movie is jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur and Karan Johar. Liger is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The film will be released in the four South Indian languages on September 22 at midnight, and its Hindi version will be released later.

The official Twitter account for Disney+ Hotstar Telugu put out a tweet just few minutes after midnight on Thursday, September 22, and wrote, “Witness @TheDeverakonda in all his Mad Glory, as #LIGER! #LigerOnHotstar Streaming Now” along with a film poster mentioning the languages Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The Puri Jagannadh-helmed picture was widely recognised after its release. Almost a month after its first release, ‘Liger’ is now available to watch on Disney+ Hotstar for those who were unable to see it in cinemas. As of September 22 at midnight, the film was made accessible on the OTT platform in the four languages spoken in South India, with the Hindi version.

There are reports that Disney+ Hotstar paid a hefty amount of Rs 65 crore for the rights to the Vijay-Ananya film. Numerous media publications stated that Star Maa channel has purchased the satellite rights to air ‘Liger.

Dharma Productions, run by Bollywood heavyweight Karan Johar, released the action-drama ‘Liger’. The film received lukewarm to negative reviews from reviewers and moviegoers alike. On its first day in theatres, the action film ‘Liger’ earned a global total of Rs 33.12 crore.

Due to the film’s poor performance at the box office, it has been speculated that Deverakonda may pay back the film’s producers Rs 6 crore as compensation. There were also rumours that his follow-up project with Puri Jagannadh would be aborted.
