NDMC launches “Plastic Lao-Mask Pao” kiosk at Charkha Museum in Connaught Place
Under this campaign citizens can come and deposit their plastic wastes in exchange of masks and cloth bag.
New Delhi: The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) launched third phase of “Plastic Lao-Mask Pao” kiosk at Charkha Museum in Connaught Place on Monday.

The initiative of “Plastic Lao-Mask Pao” is being run in association with Centre for Environment Education (CEE) in a kiosk where citizens can come and deposit their plastic waste in exchange of masks and cloth bag.
The chairman, NDMC, appealed to the visitors, customers and residents of New Delhi area to reduce the use of single use plastic in day to day life activities. He also urged the RWAs, MTAs and NGOs to join the initiatives launched by the civic body to eliminate the plastic waste from the streets, lanes, roads and other public places and exchange it by getting cloth and masks.
He further informed that NDMC is organising various awareness programmes in market and residential areas on behavioral change to reduce, reuse and recycle the plastic and ‘say no to single use plastic’ in New Delhi area. The NDMC area’s Safai sewaks will also visit door to door of shops in market areas to create awareness about this initiative.
Among others secretary, the NDMC, Dr. B.M Mishra, representatives of Centre for Environment Education were also present on the occasion.
