North DMC inks MOU with SBI to boost online digital payment for municipal services
It will promote hassle free digital transactions and one noble initiative to enhance digital penetration.
New Delhi: A Memorandum of Undertaking (MoU) was signed here on Thursday between the North DMC and SBI to boost the online digital payment collection through municipal services for a range of digital collaboration. The MOU was signed by additional director (IT), Himanshu Gupta on behalf of North DMC.
Commissioner, Sanjay Goel said that this historic MoU is a landmark initiative by North Delhi Municipal Corporation to facilitate the citizens in the easiest way through digital banking platform. It will promote hassle free digital transactions and one noble initiative to enhance digital penetration.
The SBI e-Pay is the payment aggregator service wing of the bank which will facilitate online payment of municipal taxes / fees by the citizens of any services by using the payment gateway of SBI.
Commissioner Goel, said that citizen can pay taxes/ dues of various online municipal services such as registration of birth and death, property tax and eMutation, health trade license, general trade license, veterinary trade license, factory license application services, park and community hall booking, renewal of ‘teh bazari’, hawking, hackney carriage through State Bank of India ePay Gateway. It provides digital access and to make e-governance services available to the citizens.
Goel said that it is a step towards ‘Digitial India Programme’ and to provide municipal services to the citizens of North Delhi in a digital way.
