Parashar’s panel win on all positions in Noida Media Club election

Of the 324 eligible voters at the club, 295 turned up to vote on election day on January, 19. Out of them 43 votes choose to vote were through e-ballots. A total 91.5% was the voting percentage.

The Noida Media Club has been in limelight in social media over the last two weeks. Many prominent faces from media industry were seen appealing for their choice of penal.

The Pankaj Parashar’s panel of the Noida Media Club won on all positions in the election of media club held on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Eagle panel headed by Danish Aziz lost the election from a big margin.

The election committee conducted the election of Noida Media Club first time in the last three years on Wednesday, January,19 in the premises of club office in Noida Sector-29. The election was held peacefully and very transparent.

Former Bureau Chief of Hindustan Daily newspaper and founder of Tricity website, Pankaj Parashar was elected president after beating contender Danish Aziz, Noida Bureau Chief of Bharat Samachar News channel. Mr Parashar got a total 198 votes while Danish achieved only 98 votes.

Senior journalist of Hindustan Times Vinod Rajput was elected general secretary.
He bagged 192 votes, 86 more votes than News Nation journalist Amit Kumar Chaudhary. Mr Chaudhary got a total 106 votes.

Journalist from Aaj Tak News channel Bhupendra Chaudhary was elected as Vice President. He got 185 votes against Journalist JP Singh who received 108 votes even after a controversial phone audio went viral in Noida Media club whatsapp group.

Journalist from Amar Ujala Manoj Kumar Bhati elected as Treasurer by defeating Kuldeep Singh, Journalist of Zee News Network by 91 votes. Bhati got a total 191 votes.

Meanwhile, Executive member of Parashar panel Saurab Rai (205 votes), Anchal yadav (184 votes) and Rajkumar (167 votes) won by defeating Eagle panel’s contender memebers.

Noida Media Club was constituted in 2018 and being headed under the presidentship of Mr Parashar. It was high demand from the journalist from last one year to conduct a fair election.
