Railway Protection Force recovers 7.379 kg gold bars worth Rs.3.53 crore from two persons at New Delhi Railway Station
Both the suspects arrived at New Delhi railway station from Lucknow by train No.02003 Lucknow Shatabdi Express.
New Delhi: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) claims to have recovered 7.379 kg gold bars worth Rs.3.53 crore from two persons at New Delhi Railway Station. General Manager, the Northern Railway, Ashutosh Gangal, felicitated the RPF staff for this work here on Tuesday.
Avinash, SI/RPF/NDLS along with 03 other RPF staff detained 02 persons in suspicious condition at platform No.6/7 of New Delhi Railway Station. On interrogation, they revealed their identity as Sekh Abdul Jabbar, aged 34 years s/o Sekh Hajrat Ali, r/o Rajchak Purba, Medinipur, Nutdshal, West Bengal and Sekh Mustfijur Rahman, aged 30 years s/o Sekh Usman Gani, r/o Baradanakar, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal.
Both the suspects arrived at New Delhi railway station from Lucknow by train No.02003 Lucknow Shatabdi Express. On checking they were found carrying god bar like item without lawful authority. They were taken to RPF Post/New Delhi.
Vinod Kumar, customs inspector verified those items as gold bars, weighing 7.379 Kgs worth approximately Rs Rs.3.53 crores. Both persons have been handed over to the customs department along with gold bars after due documentation for further action.
,General manager Gangal has sanctioned an individual cash of Rs.5,000/- and commendation certificate to the each of the above RPF personnel in recognition of their vigil on duty and integrity of the highest order.
