SDMC issues 71 notices and 19 challans to schools and malls over  mosquito breeding

The department concerned has also been conducting awareness drive to control vector-borne diseases-Dengue, Chikungunya and Malaria.

New Delhi:  The SDMC claims to have issued as many as71 notices and 19 challans to schools and malls for mosquito breeding in their premises .

In order to control vector-borne diseases in schools and malls, the SDMC has carried out a checking drive. During the drive, the department concerned conducted inspections in as many as 807 schools and malls out of which 100 were found to be breeding mosquitoes.

The department concerned, while initiating action, issued 71 notices and 19 challans in all four zones, said an SDMC release.

Some of the schools where mosquito breeding was found are Holy Heart School in Manglapuri, SKV School in Kakrola, Abhinav Global School in Sector 13, DAV Public School in Dwarka Sector 6, Shri Ram International School in Gopal Nagar, Navyug Convent School in Sainik Enclave Part-2, Delhi Convent Public School, Kendriya Vidyalaya in RK Puram Sector 8, SKV School in Vikaspuri, DAV School in Vasant Kunj, SKV School in Greater Kailash, etc. Malls where mosquito breeding was found were Vegas Mall in Dwarka Sector-14, Vishal Mega Mart, Vardhman in Dwarka Sector 7, Vishal Mega Mart, C-133 in Panchsheel Vihar and , Easy Day in Chirag Delhi .
