SDMC starts COVID health centre at Tilak Nagar hospital
This Centre will have 100 bed facilities for the patients.
New Delhi : The SDMC on Tuesday started its COVID health centre at Tilak Nagar hospital. Mayor of south Delhi Anamika said that in order to provide medical facilities to Covid-19 patients having mild and moderate symptoms, the SDMC today started Covid health centre at Tilak Nagar hospital .
Leader of house Narender Chawla said that the Centre will have 100 bed facilities for the patients. From today, 20 beds will be made available for the patients and the remaining 80 beds are likely to be added in the next 2-3 days. Patients referred by the Delhi government’s nodal officer will be admitted at this centre.
Chawla informed that initially, the Centre will have oxygen facility for nearly 60 beds and later it will be expanded for all beds. The centre will run with the tie up of Delhi government’s DDU Hospital. Patients admitted at this centre can be referred to DDU hospital if symptoms become severe.
The SDMC has deployed a team of doctors and other staff. Lifting of bio-medical waste and scientific disposal of the same will be done by the SDMC itself. The Delhi government has also assured to provide additional infrastructure/resources to this newly opened centre.
