Swachh Survekshan 2022 : New Delhi Municipal Council gears up to win top rank in India

The transformation of such intent requires the participation of mass changing its thinking and behavior towards waste management.

New Delhi: The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), the cleanest capital city of Swachh Survekshan 2020, is now preparing to be ranked as the cleanest city in the country in the upcoming “Swachh Survekshan 2022” being carried out by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

Prime Minister has already launched SBM 2.0 and Amrut 2 and accordingly all cities are to plan their actions to meet with the desired goals, said an NDMC release.

Chairman, the  NDMC ,  Dharmendra,  held a meeting with all  head of departments to review progress of Swachh Survekshan activities, identify the opportunities for improvement and actions required to bridge the gaps.

A detailed discussion was held by the head of departments on all parameters and the city has now planned to move from linear economy model to circular economy that aims to restore or regenerate by intention and design.

The chairman, NDMC,  has also directed the officials concerned  to focus on citizen centric outreach activities and to further strengthen preparedness for emergency and disaster management.
